Hi there!

Welcome to Berkshire Parents Collective. We are a non-profit 501(c)3, founded by Kate Dewolf, a certified nurse midwife, and Sarah Friedman, a labor and delivery nurse. After working with countless families and seeing the need for connection and support, we started to dream of ways they could they could fill this gap here in the Berkshires. We envision a broad offering of groups, classes, and workshops to be offered in the future.

Sarah Friedman

Sarah, born and raised in Dalton, is a labor and delivery nurse at Berkshire Medical Center. After working closely with parents and watching her friends try to navigate postpartum and parenthood, she realized the lack of support that was offered here in the Berkshires. Days spent working alongside Kate DeWolf, dreaming of ways they could offer more resources and support - Berkshire Parents Collective was created. When she’s not working at the hospital, you can find Sarah spending time with her husband and three dogs, reading, knitting, or teaching yoga classes.

Kate DeWolf

Kate is a busy mom of two and a Certified Nurse Midwife! Born and raised in the Berkshires, she has worked with countless people who all have their own stories. Over the last 12 years, working as a midwife, she has seen firsthand how a connection is crucial in this vulnerable time of becoming a parent. And after moving back to the Berkshires, she saw the need for a space to connect new parents as they navigate these stages of pregnancy, postpartum and new parenthood. You can often find Kate running on the Rail Trail with friends, cooking delicious gluten-free food, or chasing her kids around the many Berkshire seasonal events.
